In 2023, Michael Greenberg (Harvard, USA), Erin Schuman (Max Planck Institute for Brain Research, Germany) and Christine Holt (University of Cambridge, UK) were awarded The Brain Prize for their pioneering work on activity-dependent gene transcription and local mRNA translation.
