About

This fellowship funds a five-day visit to another institution for a mid-career cerebrovascular or endovascular specialist to develop clinical expertise. The visit must fall between July 1, 2027 and June 30, 2028. The fellow receives a US$5,000 stipend plus up to US$2,500 in reimbursed travel and lodging; the host separately receives US$1,000. A host invitation, clinical credentials, curriculum vitae and statement of the intended experience are required. The host must demonstrate relevant clinical volume and outcomes and meet the funder’s nonprofit conditions. Applications close November 8, 2026.

Fellowship-trained cerebrovascular/endovascular specialists who are board certified, hold a CAST neuroendovascular certificate or demonstrate substantial open cerebrovascular practice, and have practised independently for at least five years. Applicants must be dues-paying members in good standing of the AANS/CNS Joint Cerebrovascular Section or SNIS. A suitable host invitation is required; the selection committee determines applicant and host eligibility. Only nonprofit charitable hosts, or for-profit hosts affiliated with a nonprofit, qualify.
