About World Wide
World Wide lists what is coming up in each field of science — talks, conferences, workshops, job openings and funding deadlines — and the researchers behind them. It is free to use and shows no advertising.
What you can do here
- Find upcoming talks, conferences and workshops in the fields you choose, and open jobs and funding calls with their deadlines.
- Watch recordings of past talks, and browse conference abstracts and posters.
- Open a researcher’s page to see the public talks, posters and podcast episodes that name them.
- Save an item to keep it in your Library and add its date to your calendar. Saving needs a free account.
- Post a talk, conference, workshop, job, funding call, conference poster or podcast for others to find.
Where the information comes from
- Organisers and researchers post their own listings from an account.
- We add listings from public sources — institutional event pages, job and fellowship portals, funders and conference programmes. A listing links to the organiser’s, employer’s or funder’s own page wherever there is one.
- Conference organisers provide programmes, abstracts and posters for their collections, such as the FENS Forum.
- Some summaries and descriptions are written with AI and are labelled as AI-generated. The AI Transparency Statement explains where AI is used.
Dates, deadlines and details can change after a listing is published. Check the original source before you rely on them, and use Report on a listing to tell us when something is wrong.
Who runs World Wide
World Wide is operated by Science Communications Worldwide, an association registered in Austria (Verein, ZVR 1255966019). It began in 2020, during the pandemic, as World Wide Neuro, a platform for online neuroscience seminars, and has since grown to cover other fields of science.
The registered address, board and register entry are in the Imprint. How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Notice, and every other policy is listed under Legal documents.
DOIs for recordings and posters
The association registers DOIs with DataCite for eligible recordings and posters, so they can be cited. A DOI is a permanent identifier; it does not assess the research, and it keeps resolving even if the work is later withdrawn (see Terms, Section 5). To ask whether your work can receive one, email info@world-wide.org with:
- the title, summary, authors and their affiliations;
- a link to the recording or poster, and any captions or transcript;
- the event or collection it belongs to; and
- the licence under which it may be shared.
Conferences
We host conference programmes, abstracts and posters, with pages attendees can return to after the event. If you organise a conference, email info@world-wide.org.
Contact
Email info@world-wide.org. The contact page lists what to include for each kind of request.
