The nonprofit research organization [C]Worthy is recruiting a postdoctoral scientist to build a one-dimensional ocean alkalinity enhancement process-model testbed in the open C-Star system. The work covers marine carbonate chemistry, mineral dissolution and precipitation, particle dynamics, sediment alkalinity cycling, uncertainty analysis and reproducible scientific software.
Requirements
PhD in oceanography, marine chemistry, geochemistry, chemical oceanography or a related field; strong ocean-biogeochemistry and carbonate-chemistry expertise; scientific programming in Python; and experience designing numerical experiments.
