Job Description
RIKEN’s Nishina Center is recruiting one researcher or technical specialist for accelerator-based radioisotope production. Work covers ion-beam development and the operation, maintenance and improvement of the RI Beam Factory’s heavy-ion accelerators. The role supports a project with the Fukushima Institute for Research, Education and Innovation. Employment is based in Wako, with annual contracts potentially renewable through March 2030. The intended start is April 2027, subject to agreement.

Requirements
- Postdoctoral applicants need a relevant doctorate obtained within five years
- or completion before starting. Technical applicants need relevant university or technical-school education or equivalent expertise. Both routes require effective professional communication in Japanese. Prior accelerator experience is not mandatory for the postdoctoral route.
