About
Doctoral research on energy-variational solutions of hyperbolic conservation laws in fluid mechanics. The project studies existence for deterministic and stochastic PDEs and numerical approximation schemes, with Robert Lasarzik and Thomas Eiter. The initial appointment is three years at 75% employment (29.25 hours weekly), TVöD Bund E13. Mobile working is available. Applications remain open until filled; the first assessment was planned for 14 September 2026. Requirements
Master’s in mathematics or a closely related field; strong PDE analysis, calculus of variations or functional analysis. Applicants still completing the degree should state the expected completion date.
