Three postdoctoral openings in data-driven mathematical modelling, supervised by Clemens Heitzinger. Research covers reinforcement-learning theory and policy evaluation, differential-equation systems, reasoning and language models, and physical AI. Responsibilities include original research, algorithm development, publications, collaboration, mentoring and funding proposals. Two-year full-time appointments, 39 hours weekly, paid under TVöD Bund.

Requirements
PhD in mathematics or a related subject; relevant reinforcement learning, PDE, optimization, machine learning or numerical-analysis expertise; Julia or comparable programming, Lean 4/Mathlib or Rocq experience, and strong English communication.
