Join the Cotton Crop Agronomy Team for a 14-month full-time research assistant appointment. Support field and greenhouse experiments, seed preparation, harvests, sample processing and fibre-quality testing while completing a Certificate III in Agriculture. Training includes six one-week periods at Tocal College, with direct costs funded by CSIRO. Apply online with a CV and cover letter of up to two pages by 14 October at 11 p.m. AEDT.
Requirements
Only Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with Australian citizenship are eligible; the employer requires evidence. Applicants need an interest in agriculture, capacity for practical field work and regional travel, basic data/computer skills and a current Australian driver’s licence. Police and pre-employment medical checks apply.
