Direct Doctorate Fellowship: Neuroscience and Human Brain Models

Funded doctoral research position investigating focal cortical dysplasia using stem-cell-derived human brain models, starting in January 2027. The researcher will generate and maintain neural organoids, perform histological, immunofluorescence and molecular analyses, and contribute to functional experiments. The project includes epigenetic, transcriptional and post-transcriptional approaches and is hosted by UNICAMP’s Faculty of Medical Sciences in Campinas.

Completed or final-year undergraduate degree in biotechnology, biological sciences, biomedicine, pharmacy or a related field, completed before the fellowship begins. Excellent academic performance without failed courses, cell-culture and molecular-biology experience, and at least twelve months of experimental undergraduate research are required.
