Director / Senior Director, Machine Learning for Biology

Lead machine-learning science in the Institute of Computing, combining hands-on technical guidance with strategic direction for programmes on cell rejuvenation and resilience. Develop teams and methods for biological foundation models, multimodal prediction and scientific hypothesis generation, working closely with experimental researchers. The role covers director and senior director levels in San Diego or the Bay Area. Applications are currently available, with compensation varying by level and location.

PhD in machine learning, computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics or a related quantitative field; typically ten years of relevant experience and four to five years of management for Director, or fourteen years and seven to eight years of leadership for Senior Director.
