Senior Marine Ecologist, benthic and shellfish ecology

Lead applied research on benthic ecosystems and shellfish in the South-Western Delta. Projects examine fishing, sand replenishment and climate effects, and restore shellfish beds in the North Sea and Delta. Responsibilities include securing funding, managing complex projects and supporting junior researchers. Based at Wageningen Marine Research in Yerseke, with 24–36 weekly hours and an initial one-year renewable contract. Relevant university degree and PhD in marine ecology, with extensive benthic research and project leadership experience. Strong communication, initiative and collaboration skills. Dutch is a strong advantage; English at B2 level is expected, with language support available.
