Higher Point Positivity and Large-Nc QCD

Particle Physics seminar by Francesco Sciotti, CERN

Abstract

Scattering amplitudes constrain effective field theories from the bottom up through fundamental principles such as unitarity and causality. Most existing positivity bounds have been derived from four-point amplitudes. This seminar examines how higher-point amplitudes provide additional constraints that cannot be obtained from four-point information alone, and applies these constraints to large-Nc quantum chromodynamics.
