Given the remarkable cognitive and neuropsychiatric impairments linked to cannabis use, most of the anatomical and functional data on the endocannabinoid (ECB) system has been gathered from higher brain regions like the prefrontal cortex, leaving aside structures that integrate the sensory systems.
