AEET, Sfe2 & EEF Joint Meeting 2027

In an era of profound environmental and societal challenges, the meeting calls on ecologists to transcend barriers between nations, disciplines and society, integrate diverse perspectives on constantly evolving ecological systems, and co-produce knowledge for evidence-based solutions, resilience and sustainability. Key topics: ecology in space and time; evolutionary ecology; from individual to community ecology; preserving biodiversity under global change, from conservation to restoration; humans and nature (socio-ecological systems, citizen science and One Health); and novel methodological approaches. The programme includes thematic scientific sessions, hands-on workshops on tools and methods, and technical field trips to ecosystems of high ecological value. Confirmed keynote speakers: Sandra Lavorel (functional ecology, climate-change adaptation, ecosystem services), David Gremillet (spatial ecology and marine predators), Claire Doutrelant (evolutionary and behavioural ecology), Xavier Lambin (population dynamics and invasive species management), María José Ruíz-López (One Health, molecular and disease ecology) and Miguel Berdugo (dryland ecology, resilience and tipping points).
