Matériaux 2026
Materials Science and Chemistry conference by Fédération Française des Matériaux
About
Fourteen linked symposia connect materials synthesis, characterisation, modelling and properties with applications in energy, health, transport, housing, electronics and environmental protection. The programme spans polymers and organic composites, glasses and ceramics, porous and nanoscale materials, microstructure design, processing, and surface durability.
Scientific contributions examine how modern atomistic simulations can bridge the cooling-rate gap between models and experiments in disordered solids, including the challenges of thermal transport and quantum effects. Surface studies combine electron and ion spectroscopy, scanning tunnelling microscopy, electrochemistry and density-functional calculations to connect atomic-scale corrosion mechanisms to macroscopic degradation and protective strategies. Other sessions investigate photocatalysis, recycling and sustainable energy materials.
Times are Europe/Paris (CET, UTC+1). The opening ceremony starts at 08:30 on 16 November, followed by a plenary at 09:30. Plenaries on 17–20 November start at 08:30. Parallel sessions run across the week, with Friday's final scientific block at 10:00–12:00. The programme is provisional.
Full-congress fees including VAT are EUR 385 for students/doctoral researchers, EUR 671 for academics and EUR 891 for industry through 9 October; from 10 October academic and industry rates rise to EUR 770 and EUR 1,001. Day tickets cost EUR 385 or EUR 495 and cannot be used by oral or poster presenters, who must register for the full congress. The gala dinner is extra. Purchase-order payments are not accepted after 15 October.
