NICE 2027: Neuro Inspired Computational Elements Conference
Computational Neuroscience, Artificial Intelligence and conference by NICE Workshop Foundation
About
The Neuro Inspired Computational Elements Conference (NICE) gathers research on neuromorphic computing and its connections to neuroscience and artificial intelligence. NICE 2027 holds its main conference on 6–8 April 2027 at the University of Sussex in Brighton, United Kingdom, followed by a tutorials day of mainly hands-on two-hour tutorials on 9 April.
Topics span neuromorphic hardware, analog and beyond-CMOS devices and compute-in-memory architectures; NeuroAI, including theory of neural circuits and its experimental support, local learning and plasticity, and connectomics; neuroscience-inspired and hardware-aware algorithms, spiking neural networks and event-based artificial intelligence; applications in robotics, high-performance and edge computing, biosignal processing and brain-computer interfaces; event-driven and bio-inspired sensing; and software frameworks, benchmarks, simulators and theoretical models for neuromorphic engineering. Regular papers of 4–8 pages are reviewed by the programme committee for talks, lightning talks or posters, with proceedings indexed through IEEE Conference Proceedings. Paper submissions are due on 11 November 2026, tutorial suggestions on 2 December 2026 and late-breaking news submissions on 1 February 2027. Early-bird fees, until 17 January 2027, are £250 for students and £450 for regular participants (£300 and £550 afterwards), and the tutorials day costs £75 early or £100 later.
