Abstract
Hostility biases and ingrained cognitive predispositions, influence how individuals perceive and interpret social cues, often imbuing interactions with negative connotations. These biases can lead people to interpret harmless actions as threatening or hostile, fostering a climate of suspicion and discord in social interactions. There exist numerous methodologies dedicated to the examination and analysis of this particular behavioral phenomenon, which is why this research was conducted. This study is a battery of assessments of psychological methods formulated to measure an individual's tendency to perceive ambiguous social contexts with a hostile interpretation. Included tools differentiate hostility according to people, their personality structure, or situational conditions. The battery does not close itself off only to questionnaires but also takes into account more complex techniques such as event-related potential analysis and eye tracking. The instruments contained in the battery were used by HEALab in the research about sentenced people. The results of the research will be described and discussed. This set of methods can be found useful in the diagnosis of complex personality structures. Moreover, the battery can have a significant role in the academic community due to having all standardized and summarized complex tools.
