2027 ESA Robert H. MacArthur Award

Recognise meritorious ecological contributions by an established researcher in mid-career, with an expectation of further outstanding research. The award includes a MacArthur lecture at the society’s annual meeting. Nominations require a contribution statement, a CV of at most four pages, and one required support letter with up to two additional letters. Nominations close on 19 November 2026.

Mid-career ecologists, generally within 25 years of the PhD. Any nationality or place of residence is eligible, with priority to ESA members. Self-nominations are excluded and the society’s leadership and committee conflict-of-interest rules apply.
