A US$2,500 summer fellowship introduces medical students to neurosurgical laboratory research, with mentorship from a neurosurgical investigator who belongs to the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Medical students in accredited U.S., Canadian or Mexican programmes who will have completed at least one year of medical school by the fellowship start. Caribbean medical schools with U.S. clinical campuses may be considered. PhD, MD/PhD, gap-year and post-baccalaureate students are ineligible. Applicants must identify an AANS-member neurosurgical investigator sponsor.
