Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds Travel Grants

Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds
Rolling — no fixed deadline

Description

BIF travel grants support short research visits and practical training in basic biomedical research, including eligible in silico projects. Applications are accepted at any time, between six months and six weeks before departure. Visits may last up to three months; courses must contain at least 50% practical work. Conference attendance is excluded. The award is based on the proposed costs rather than a universal fixed amount. This is a recurring rolling programme.

Eligibility

PhD/MD students, postdocs and qualifying prospective PhD candidates in basic biomedical research. European citizens may work worldwide; non-European citizens must undertake the relevant project in Europe or use the grant to work there. University-entrance qualification normally no more than 11 years earlier for students/graduates or 13 years for postdocs. Programme exclusions and exception rules apply.
