David Irvine Postgraduate Scholarships

CSIRO is recruiting PhD and MPhil scholars for cybersecurity research with six CSCRC participant universities: Edith Cowan, Adelaide, Deakin, UNSW, Charles Sturt and Queensland University of Technology. Projects cover resilient systems, IoT security, authentication, threat detection, cybersecurity platforms, security automation, privacy-preserving data sharing, law and privacy. Applicants need university and CSIRO supervisors, first-class Honours or equivalent, host admission and English requirements, full-time enrolment and a tuition waiver. Candidates must start by 30 June 2027 and be no more than twelve months into a PhD or six months into an MPhil. The advertised first-year stipend is AUD 44,000; top-up awards and development allowances are also available. Tuition and relocation are excluded. First-class Honours or equivalent in cybersecurity, computer science or AI; host admission and English requirements; no prior completed PhD; full-time PhD/MPhil at a partner university with tuition waiver and confirmed university and CSIRO supervisors. Enrolled candidates must be within 12 PhD months or 6 MPhil months.
