CSIRO’s Next Generation Graduates Program supports interdisciplinary Honours and Masters research in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies through Australian university and industry cohorts. Recruitment continues during the year until places are filled; final MPhil enrolments close on 31 December 2026 for commencement in 2027. Applicants contact the chief investigators of the awarded university programmes rather than using the advertisement’s Apply Now button. Support differs by degree: the published MPhil table lists AUD 43,333 per year at 2025–26 rates, indexed by 2% each financial year, while eligible one-year research Masters and Honours/coursework Masters projects list AUD 30,000 and AUD 10,000 respectively. Training allowances and industry placements are included; MPhil support also lists travel, thesis and cost-of-living allowances. Training AUD 5,000/year; MPhil travel AUD 5,000 total, thesis AUD 420 and living payment AUD 2,000. Confirm the current indexed MPhil rate.
