CSIRO is recruiting PhD and MPhil scholars for cybersecurity research with six CSCRC participant universities: Edith Cowan, Adelaide, Deakin, UNSW, Charles Sturt and Queensland University of Technology. Projects cover resilient systems, IoT security, authentication, threat detection, cybersecurity platforms, security automation, privacy-preserving data sharing, law and privacy. Applicants need university and CSIRO supervisors, first-class Honours or equivalent, host admission and English requirements, full-time enrolment and a tuition waiver. Candidates must start by 30 June 2027 and be no more than twelve months into a PhD or six months into an MPhil. The advertised first-year stipend is AUD 44,000; top-up awards and development allowances are also available. Tuition and relocation are excluded. Covers: PhD stipend schedule: AUD 44,000, 45,000 and 46,000 for years 1–3, plus AUD 23,000 for the final half-year. MPhil AUD 44,000 and 45,000 for two years. Top-up AUD 10,000/year, AUD 5,000 for final half-year. Development allowance totals AUD 7,000 for PhD or 5,000 for MPhil. Tuition and relocation are not covered; a university tuition waiver is required.

Research at a listed CSCRC participant university in Australia; full-time enrolment, commencement no later than 30 June 2027, and confirmed university and CSIRO supervisors.
