About
Support for autism studies using SPARK Research Match to recruit people from genetic-ancestry groups undersampled in clinical research. Eligible projects prioritize those groups and address research questions of importance to them. Online surveys or remote projects can include interviews, focus groups or telehealth. SFARI provides participant incentives through the study workflow and researchers share study data back with SPARK. The next application deadline is 31 December 2026.
Eligibility
Covers: Up to USD 10,000 per study in participant e-gift-card incentives for undersampled groups. Funds are administered through SPARK workflows rather than transferred to the investigator’s institution. Other project expenses are not covered.
Research recruits US-resident SPARK participants. Investigator host-country eligibility is not specified on the call page.
Principal investigators proposing a new SPARK Research Match study that prioritizes undersampled groups and justifies the importance of its topic to those groups. Applications are submitted on SFARI Base. The participant population is in the United States; this does not establish a US-only investigator-host rule.
