About
One research appointment in the Imperfect Information Learning Team at RIKEN’s Center for Advanced Intelligence Project. The team develops machine-learning methods that remain effective when training information is incomplete or otherwise imperfect. Work spans supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning, including algorithm design, theoretical analysis and experimental evaluation. The Tokyo-based position also involves scientific collaboration and mentoring. Applications remain open until the position is filled.
Requirements
PhD in machine learning, computer science, statistics or a related field by the employment start, plus strong research and communication skills. The Research Scientist rank normally applies more than five years after the PhD; Postdoctoral Researcher is for applicants within five years.
