About
Investigate the origins and consequences of genome instability in primary, immortalized and transformed cells in the Barlow laboratory. Projects examine DNA secondary structures, replication stress and damage in proliferating cells, genome integrity during replication and division, innate immune responses, neurodegeneration and adaptive immunity in mouse models. Genetics, molecular biology and next-generation sequencing are used to locate damage, understand consequences for division and metabolism, and identify disease mechanisms.
The researcher will lead an independent project, develop assays, collaborate, mentor and contribute to manuscripts and meetings. Salary range: USD 69,073–74,281. The June review date has passed; applications remain accepted until 20 November 2026 and are reviewed if the post remains unfilled.
Requirements
Relevant PhD; training in cell biology, molecular biology and genetics; excellent English communication. Immunology, sequencing, bioinformatics or computational biology experience is preferred. Submit CV, cover letter, research statement, required disclosure authorization and contact details for three references.
