About

Develop radioisotope production and application methods for an AMED cancer research project using the RIKEN RI Beam Factory heavy-ion accelerators. Researchers produce and distribute isotopes, investigate their applications, and maintain production equipment and hot laboratories. The alternative technical appointment supports isotope production, quality assessment and distribution, manages chemicals and radioisotopes, and assists collaborating researchers.

One position is available in the Nuclear Chemistry Group. Annual contracts may be renewed following evaluation through 31 March 2029. The position is based at RIKEN Wako Campus, with an earliest-possible start; telecommuting is normally unavailable.

Requirements

Researchers need a relevant doctorate by their start date and experience with unsealed radioisotopes. Technical applicants need university or technical-school education in chemistry, or equivalent experience; unsealed-radioisotope experience is preferred.
