Applied Physicist/Engineer — ATLAS ITk Pixel System (EP-ATL-TRK-2026-208-LD)

This 48-month staff appointment focuses on the ATLAS ITk Pixel System, including reception tests, multi-module structures, detector services and combined Pixel/Strip testing. Responsibilities include test software and hardware, documented validation procedures and hands-on cleanroom integration. The role is fully on site, with an ideal start of 1 January 2027. Relevant master’s or equivalent experience with silicon pixel detectors, testing and data analysis, detector operation and DAQ/control systems. CERN Member or Associate Member State nationality is required, with current exclusions for Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, Croatian and Turkish nationals. Previous CERN Staff contract holders are ineligible. Driving licence and radiation/underground work requirements apply.
