Applied Physicist/Engineer — ATLAS ITk Integration (EP-ATL-TRK-2026-207-LD)

This 54-month staff appointment supports integration and commissioning of the ATLAS Inner Tracker. Work centers on Strip Barrel and Endcap structures, services validation, integration-test hardware and software, coordination with off-site institutes, and preparation for cavern commissioning. The role is fully on site, with an ideal start of 1 January 2027. Applications close at 23:59 Geneva time on 8 November 2026.

Relevant master’s, PhD or equivalent experience; silicon-detector integration and commissioning, DAQ or control software, and testing procedures. CERN Member or Associate Member State nationality is required, with current exclusions for Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, Croatian and Turkish nationals. Previous CERN Staff contract holders are ineligible. A driving licence and work in radiation/underground areas are required.
