Establish a tenure-track research programme in the Genetics, Genomics, Evolution, and Development division at UC Berkeley. Research may address molecular, cellular or quantitative genetics, genomic technologies, comparative and evolutionary biology, or developmental patterning and organismal form. The department seeks new conceptual or technical directions, with opportunities to collaborate with genomics, bioimaging, developmental biology and computational biology groups.
The appointment includes research, teaching, mentoring and service. The anticipated start is 1 July 2027. The advertised nine-month salary is USD 84,100–132,900, with possible additional compensation. Applications close on 19 October 2026 at 23:59 Pacific Time.
Requirements
PhD, MD or equivalent international degree at application. Preferred: a biology-related doctorate, original and productive research, and teaching/mentoring potential.
