Job Description
Requirements
- The successful candidate must have a PhD in Philosophy
- Computer Science
- or another AI-related discipline. This position will be initially awarded for one year
- and
- contingent upon strong performance and conduct
- and availability of funds
- may be renewed for one additional year. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience
- and the compensation includes a full benefits package. Minimum requirements: A PhD in Philosophy
- Computer Science
- or another AI-related discipline. Preferred qualifications include (1) understanding of and/or experience with methods in machine learning
- (2) publications in philosophy of mind
- philosophy of science
- philosophy of language
- epistemology
- or ethics
- especially as applied to artificial intelligence
- and (3) experience writing grant proposals or working on funded research projects
- or interest in acquiring and honing grantwriting skills.
