Job Description
The postdoctoral trainees will be responsible for 1) developing and deploying automated approaches to process signals recorded in labs into analysis-ready datasets, and 2) creating a unified data storage and management framework to facilitate data sharing and collaborative, neuro-AI, analyses. They will advance cutting edge platforms for large-scale behavioral and neurophysiology experiments, participate in the advancement of open source in neuroscience, and work with unique electrophysiological datasets to develop novel or high-dimensional analytical tools.
Requirements
- The applicant should hold a PhD (e.g. electrical or biomedical engineering
- neurosciences
- or complementary field) and have research expertise in system neuroscience
- programming
- and data processing and analyses. The postdoctoral trainee will need to adapt and enhance current tools implemented in Matlab
- R or Python
- incorporate automated spike sorting tools
- handle local field potential signals
- create user interfaces
- and develop a robust data management platform with reproducible analysis automation
- advanced APIs
- a central database for storing data and metadata
- and an extensible suite of analysis tools.
