About
Investigate how nuclear architecture forms after mitosis, including telomere movement during nuclear expansion and chromosome-territory organization. Combine live-cell and super-resolution imaging with physical modelling of trajectories. The computational component uses Brownian and Monte Carlo simulations to study chromatin, telomeres and the nuclear envelope. The project links theoretical physics and molecular biology in Toulouse. This is a 36-month doctoral employment contract with a planned 1 October 2026 start. Applications close on 29 September 2026 at 23:59 local time.
Requirements
Master’s degree in physics and a strong interest in the physics of living systems. Numerical-method and live-imaging experience are advantages. Applicants should be comfortable integrating experimental observations with quantitative models. Apply through the CNRS recruitment portal under reference UMR5152-MANMAN-003; an applicant account is required.
