About

A three-year PhD at DTU’s Centre for Auditory Neuroscience investigating the spatial and temporal relationships between vascular and sensorineural pathology in the cochlea, in healthy ageing and in age-related conditions such as dementia and metabolic syndrome. The project develops preclinical immunolabelling and light-sheet microscopy pipelines to image the cochlea in rodent models of these diseases, followed by advanced image analysis, to deepen understanding of the pathogenesis of hearing loss and its links to ageing. Expected start: 1 March 2027 or by agreement.

Requirements

A two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS) or equivalent in neuroscience, medicine, biomedicine, veterinary medicine, biomedical engineering, molecular biology or a related field.
