The research develops more efficient GWAS methods for ordinal traits such as the Tanner scale, incorporates genetically correlated traits such as age at menarche and voice breaking, and derives a polyproteomic score for pubertal development, with Mendelian randomisation studies of puberty and later health.

Supervisors are Professor Cecilia Høst Ramlau-Hansen, Nis Brix (Department of Clinical Genetics) and Professor Doug Speed (Center for Quantitative Genetics and Genomics).

Requirements

A relevant PhD in data science, statistical or quantitative genetics, bioinformatics, statistics or computer science; experience analysing large health datasets, running GWAS (e.g. PLINK, GCTA, LDAK) and register-based research.
