Postdoctoral Position in Optical Systems for Advanced Biofabrication
Optics, Regenerative Medicine and Optical Engineering postdoctoral position at ETH Zurich
About
Develop optical systems for biofabrication at ETH Zurich’s Institute for Biomechanics. The researcher will design and build optical and beam-shaping systems, study the interaction of structured light with photosensitive polymers, and collaborate with bioengineers, chemists and biologists on scaffolds for regenerative medicine. This full-time postdoctoral position is funded for 1.5 years. The current vacancy accepts online applications without a stated closing date; provide a CV, publication list and references.
Requirements
PhD in optical engineering, photonics, applied physics, electrical engineering with optics emphasis, or a related discipline; practical laser beam-shaping and phase-modulation experience; scientific programming and optical modelling; strong research output and English. Experience in multiphoton polymerization, metasurfaces, adaptive optics or non-diffractive beams is advantageous.
