A position is available to provide research and technical support for two zebrafish-vision labs: Tom Baden (www.badenlab.org) and Leon Lagnado (www.lagnadolab.com). The position will be equally shared between the labs. The primary role of this technician will be to support zebrafish molecular biology work, therefore previous experience in this field will be essential. More generally, the post holder will support work investigating the evolutionary and computational basis of sensory processing with a focus on vision in the retina and brain of larval and adult zebrafish. Applicants should have a science degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and a good track record of experimental laboratory research. The position will require excellent organisational and record-keeping skills, a meticulous approach to practical work and the ability to work as part of a team.
