Research Associate II - Brain Cell Type-specific Viral Tools

The Allen Institute's Brain Health team seeks a Research Associate II to characterize AAV vectors that target specific brain-cell types across mouse, non-human-primate, and human tissue. Work includes brain-tissue processing, RNAscope and immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, image analysis, and support for robotic in-vivo viral-injection studies.

Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, biology, or a related field plus at least two years of relevant laboratory research. Required experience includes brain-tissue processing, histology or RNAscope, fluorescence microscopy, and quantitative image analysis; non-human-primate neuroanatomy and viral-vector experience are preferred.
