Job Description
The EMBL Imaging Centre is recruiting a software engineer to build and sustain instrument-control, automation, data-acquisition and real-time-analysis systems for advanced light and electron microscopy, including opportunities for AI-enabled automation.
Requirements
- Strong background in software engineering
- computer science
- engineering
- physics or a related field
- experience developing software for hardware control
- scientific instrumentation or comparable technical systems
- and relevant work with C++
- Python
- LabVIEW
- Java or MATLAB. Embedded or real-time systems
- FPGAs
- GPUs and scientific hardware integration are advantageous.
