Universitätsdozentur (Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Level) Affective Sciences

The Faculty of Psychology seeks a lecturer or senior lecturer in affective sciences. The role centres on teaching the foundations and applications of affective sciences in the bachelor's and master's programmes in psychology through lectures, seminars and supervision, with a teaching load of 12 semester hours per week at 100% and thesis supervision counted towards it. The post holder shapes and develops teaching in the subject independently, keeps it close to current research and practice, has room for their own research, publications and third-party funding, and takes part in academic self-governance.

The 80-100% appointment starts in April 2027 or by agreement and is fixed-term until 31 January 2031; the application deadline is 23 November 2026.

Doctorate in psychology and scientific expertise in the subject area; relevant university teaching experience and a recognisable research profile; strong analytical and organisational skills. The posting is in German.
