Visiting PhD Researcher — Bean Proteomic and Peptide Diversity for Human Health (Call Extension)

Investigate bean proteins and bioactive peptides, including their potential effects on diabetes-related processes. The PABRA/PTFI project combines proteomics, bioinformatics and AI-based prediction of biological activity. Research takes place at a PABRA site in Kenya or another member country and at CIAT in Palmira, Colombia. A monthly stipend and travel to Colombia are provided; the amount is unspecified. Already enrolled in a PhD at a recognised university in Kenya or another PABRA country, with a relevant master’s degree. Applicants must be nationals of a sub-Saharan African PABRA member country and full-time employees of a PABRA network partner organisation. Bioinformatics, analytical skills and English proficiency are required; omics experience is desirable.
