Abstract

Small variations in the cosmic microwave background preserve information about the composition and evolution of the early Universe. The seminar reviews how these measurements constrain dark matter, dark energy, neutrino properties and gravity, considers what Planck established and left unresolved, and discusses the prospects described for subsequent CMB experiments.
