Abstract

Dark-matter candidates span an enormous range of possible masses, with ultralight and superheavy particles posing different observational and theoretical questions. This seminar compares the two extremes through their production during cosmic inflation. Examples from a string-theory axiverse and a QCD-like hidden sector illustrate connections between their early-universe origins and phenomenology.
