Abstract
When a star is torn apart by a dormant massive black hole, its emission can reveal a population otherwise difficult to observe. This seminar connects time-dependent relativistic accretion models with multiwavelength tidal-disruption data. It examines constraints on intermediate-mass black-hole occupation and the additional demographic information anticipated from LSST-era surveys.
