IAU General Assembly 2027 Participation Grants

Participation grants for the 2027 IAU General Assembly can support registration, accommodation, travel and childcare. Selection considers the applicant’s scientific contribution, the relevant committee’s abstract assessment, need, career stage and access to other funding. Applications are open and close on 15 January 2027 at 23:59 CET. Submit all abstracts and register before applying through the official platform in English. Grant applicants may defer payment while awaiting the decision, using the organizer’s stated registration procedure. Decisions are scheduled for 30 April 2027.

Supports exceptional young neuroscientists in the early stages of establishing an independent laboratory and research career. Up to ten scholars receive a total award of $225,000 paid in equal installments of $75,000 in 2027, 2028, and 2029; applications open early August 2026.

Ambizione — Final 2026 Call

SNSF Ambizione supports early-career researchers leading an independent project at a Swiss higher education institution for up to four years. Funding can cover the researcher’s salary and project costs, or project costs alone where appropriate. The final Ambizione call opened on 3 August 2026 and closes on 3 November 2026 at 17:00 CET. Projects may start between September 2027 and September 2028. This is the final call before a replacement funding scheme, not an indefinitely recurring open programme.
