Work with Phil Bartlett on the EPSRC EXPRESS programme, studying electrochemical growth of transition-metal dichalcogenide semiconductors. The role characterises single-source precursors in dry non-aqueous solutions, optimizes deposition of mono- and few-layer materials, and integrates electrodeposition with nanoscale electronic devices. The interdisciplinary consortium links chemistry, physics and electronic engineering. The initial contract runs to 31 December 2028, with a possible extension of up to three years. The salary is GBP 36,636–41,064. Submit a CV and cover letter by 23:59 UK time

Join Gill Reid and John Dyke’s group on the EPSRC EXPRESS programme for electrochemical growth of transition-metal dichalcogenide semiconductors. The role models metal precursor complexes, molecular species and ions in relevant solutions, including solvent, additive and inhibitor effects. It combines wavefunction and density-functional methods with collaboration across computational chemistry, electrochemistry and inorganic synthesis. The initial appointment is for 24 months, with possible extension; the annual salary is GBP 37,369–40,704. Submit a CV and cover letter addressing the criteria b
