Develop reliable R workflows for biological and ecological research, from project organization and functional programming to reproducible reporting and collaboration. Hands-on sessions cover tidy evaluation, iteration with purrr, graphics with ggplot2, Quarto reports and GitHub. The final day examines AI coding assistants, context management and agentic workflows, emphasizing critical review and validation of generated code. 2026-10-27–2026-10-30, 13:00–19:00 daily, Europe/Berlin (CET, UTC+01:00). In Computer Science and Programming
Learn to conduct reproducible research data analysis in R and RStudio without prior R experience. Lectures, live coding and practical exercises introduce vectors, matrices, data frames, lists, packages and functions. Participants import and inspect data, handle missing values, subset and join datasets, calculate summaries and export results. Further sessions develop ggplot2 visualisations, R Markdown reports, project organisation, reusable functions and strategies for finding help and troubleshooting errors. Exercises can use supplied datasets or participants’ own research data. 2–6 November
