Optimise metal-assisted chemical etching for complex silicon microstructures used in X-ray optics. Investigate defects and scalability using wafer processing, lithography, deposition, microscopy and profilometry, and develop reproducible fabrication and characterisation methods.
Support superconducting-device fabrication at the Molecular Foundry, including cleanroom processes, qubit workflow development and cryogenic measurements. Work uses evaporation, microscopy, lithography and chemical processing, alongside careful sample tracking and reproducibility. The role is a one-year term at 20 hours weekly, with expected hourly pay of USD 28.78–36.69. Priority review is November 17, 2026.
