2027 Jansky Fellowship Program
The Jansky Fellowship supports independent early-career research connected to NRAO facilities, including radio and multiwavelength science, theory, computation and instrumentation. Appointments last two to three years at NRAO/GBO sites; justified split or non-resident appointments at eligible US universities may be considered. Applications close on 28 October 2026 at 23:59 EDT; reference letters are due on 11 November. The nominal start is September 2027, with flexibility no later than January 2028.
SKA-Low Senior Technical Officer
Provide technical leadership for installation, commissioning and operation of the SKA-Low radio telescope. The role develops maintenance strategies, diagnostic methods and technical standards across RF, electronics, optical and signal-processing systems. Based in Geraldton or Perth, the appointment includes a four-day-on, three-day-off fly-in/fly-out roster to the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory. Geraldton appointments may be indefinite; Perth appointments are for three years. Applications close on 27 September 2026 at 23:00 AEST, with earlier closure possible if a suitable candidate is found.
