FEMS MICRO Ljubljana 2027: Congress & Exhibition
The FEMS congress brings together the international microbiology community under the theme Growing microbial futures. The meeting runs 5–8 July 2027 in Ljubljana. Abstracts and associated grant applications are open until 15 December 2026 at 23:59 CET; interactive-session proposals close on 30 September 2026. Attendance registration begins on 15 March 2027, so it is not yet open.
30th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Statistics (AISTATS 2027)
AISTATS brings together machine learning, artificial intelligence and statistics, with an emphasis on methodological research. The 2027 conference is announced for 3–6 May in Montréal, Canada; the specific venue and registration details remain to be announced. The official schedule lists abstract submissions due 29 September 2026 and full papers due 6 October 2026, both at the end of the day Anywhere on Earth.
ASLO 2027 Aquatic Sciences Meeting
The Aquatic Sciences Meeting connects freshwater and ocean researchers around the theme Waterscapes Under Pressure: Drivers and Opportunities. The meeting runs 28 February–5 March 2027 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Registration is open. The abstract deadline has been extended to 21 September 2026; early registration ends 1 December 2026.
SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering (CSE27)
SIAM’s computational science and engineering meeting covers mathematical models, scalable algorithms, scientific software, high-performance computing and scientific machine learning. It takes place in Pittsburgh on 22–26 February 2027. Travel-support applications are open until 30 November 2026. Abstract deadlines have passed; registration is scheduled to open in December 2026. The meeting is co-located with ACDA27 and the International Meshing Roundtable.
International Statistical Ecology Conference 2027 (ISEC 2027)
ISEC brings together ecologists, statisticians and quantitative researchers working on ecological inference and modelling. The main conference runs 10–15 January 2027 in Mérida, Mexico; separate pre-conference workshops run 8–9 January. Registration is open, with early rates through 30 September 2026 and reduced rates for eligible Global South participants.
249th Meeting of the American Astronomical Society
The 249th AAS meeting convenes the astronomy and astrophysics community in Salt Lake City from 10–14 January 2027, with the Historical Astronomy Division. FEMS Meeting Organiser Grants — November 2026 Round
FEMS supports scientific conferences, laboratory workshops and training courses in the European Area. Grants can reach EUR 15,000, with at least 60% used to support early-career scientists’ attendance. The current round closes on 1 November 2026 at 23:59 CET and covers meetings held from 21 March to 20 December 2027. Decisions are expected on 21 December 2026. This is a recurring meeting-support programme.
6th International Atmospheric Rivers Conference (IARC 2026)

ReproNim: Towards a culture of more reproducible neuroimaging research
Given the intrinsically large and complex data sets collected in neuroimaging research, coupled with the extensive array of shared data and tools amassed in the research community, ReproNim seeks to lower the barriers for efficient: use of data; description of data and process; use of standards and best practices; sharing; and subsequent reuse of the collective ‘big’ data. Aggregation of data and reuse of analytic methods have become critical in addressing concerns about the replicability and power of many of today’s neuroimaging studies.
